JEWISH COMMUNITY RELATIONS COUNCIL OF NEW YORK (JCRC-NY) 2023 SPRING GALA WELCOMED MORE THAN 200 GUESTS TO HONOR THREE EXCEPTIONAL NEW YORK LEADERS

NEW YORK, June 15, 2023 – The Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY) hosted more than 200 guests at its 2023 Spring Gala honoring three exceptional New York leaders at the New-York Historical Society, the city’s first museum, on Monday, June 12th.

Hon. William C. Thompson, Jr., Partner and Chief Administrative Officer, Siebert Williams Shank & Co., LLC, and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, The City University of New York, accepted the Public Service Award from his friend and colleague, Michael S. Miller, CEO Emeritus of JCRC-NY. Mr. Thompson said, “The JCRC has dedicated itself to building relationships with New Yorkers of all backgrounds and faiths with the singular goal of creating a more interconnected New York for all. I'm proud to say that I've had the privilege of being a part of this important work with the JCRC over the years…Today, more than ever that I can remember, the work of the JCRC is critically important to the future of our city, our state, and our nation….I will continue to stand with the JCRC to conquer antisemitism, racism, and hate in all of its forms and spread a message of tolerance, acceptance, and belonging.”
