Suzanne Shank Honored on Mural in Downtown Savannah, GA
Suzanne Shank, President and CEO, and native of Savannah, GA, has been honored as one of eight influential Black men and women on a mural inside Kim’s Café, a restaurant in downtown Savannah.
The piece is aimed to honor significant figures from their local community and beyond, also highlighting Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, Reverend Benny Mitchell, among others. It also serves as a memorial for the co-owners’ mother, Kimberly Holmes, framed in the center.
The Savannah native artist, Julia Roland, is a senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). SCAD previously honored Shank as a Woman of Vision.
